Key Functions

• Provide communications and marketing services to the Office of the CIO (OCIO) and Information Services and Technology (IST).
• Work with internal clients to develop strategic messages, including communications and marketing plans, presentations, and forums.
• Provide writing, editing, graphic design, and review services for consistency in design and content of outgoing OCIO and IST messages.
• Implement, administer, and maintain websites for OCIO and IST.
• Solicit, gather, and publish IT news contributed by campus IT providers and their functional partners.
• Identify and analyze audiences to be reached for the purpose of tailoring communications.
• Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of communications.

• iNews, a collection of IT news channels available in HTML, RSS, and email formats.
• Campuswide IT Events Calendar, a member of the UC Berkeley Calendar Network.

Services for OCIO and IST

• Writing and editing.
• Creating print materials for marketing purposes (e.g., posters, handouts, brochures, etc.).
• Assisting with departmental websites.
• Developing communication campaigns.
• Coordinating IT-related events (e.g., presentations, forums, trainings).
