Financial Planning & Management

Financial Planning and Technology Investment Services (FPTIS) promotes the strategic investment of campus IT resources through offering financial management and technology acquisition services.

On behalf of the Chief Information Officer and the Campus Technology Council, and in collaboration with the UC Berkeley Budget Office, financial planning and management services include:

• projects to increase understanding of campus IT spending and funding, as well as funding models, to inform and enhance IT investment decisions;
• development and management of budget processes for IT proposals, to enhance decision-making and IT governance, and to promulgate best practices;
• multiyear planning and management of the technology investments.
