In some cases, you may be able to find an answer more quickly by following these steps before reaching out for IT support:

IT Support for Faculty, Staff, Postdocs, Visiting Scholars, and Student Employees

Contact Options & Hours of Service

You can reach IT Support online, via email, or by phone (510-664-9000, option 1) Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding University holidays and curtailment periods).

Drop-in Hours

Drop-in IT support is available at the Academic Innovation Studio (AIS) in 117 Dwinelle Hall on Level D during the following hours.

  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • 1 - 4 p.m | Monday through Thursday
  • 1 - 3 p.m | Friday

The Academic Innovation Studio and the Drop-in Support Center will also be closed on the following dates

  • Monday, May 27
  • Wednesday, June 19
  • Thursday, June 20
  • Thursday, July 4
  • Friday, July 5

Tech Support for Students (non-employee)

Student Tech Services (STS) provides free tech support to all graduate, professional and undergraduate students at UC Berkeley. The Student Helpdesk is available in-person, by phone and via email (excluding University holidays and curtailment periods)
