A message from Deputy CIO Lyle Nevels and Larry Conrad, AVC-IT & CIO
To the Campus Community,
Over the next six weeks, Information Services & Technology (IST) will be performing upgrades to the data center network. During this time, applications and systems you log into using your CalNet ID will be unavailable for a portion of the time or the entire maintenance window. This includes access to bConnected (email, calendar, drive, box), bCourses, BAIRS, BFS, CalCentral, CalAnswers, and many others.
This upgrade work is part of a larger set of scheduled maintenance that will increase the speed and security of our campus computer network and prepare us to keep pace with future demands. The scheduled maintenance requires a total of two planned service interruptions between April and May 2015.
Individual application owners will also be communicating with their user communities, so you may see additional emails regarding the maintenance work. For technical information, you can always visit the IT Systems Status page.
Schedule of Maintenance Activities
- Sunday, April 12, 6 – 8 a.m.
- Sunday, May 17, a 12-hour maintenance window is planned - start time to be announced at a later date.
