A message from Larry Conrad, AVC-IT & CIO
Educause's CIO minute highlights Larry Conrad, Associate Vice Chancellor for IT and CIO. In his brief interview Conrad stresses the importance of relationships in establishing credibility. To Conrad, relating to people and having them understand that you are truly interested in helping them is paramount. Marketing plays a key role in people believing the highest item on your agenda is helping them. "At the end of the day I'm in marketing," says Conrad, "People don't just do things because you're the CIO; they do things because you have credibility and good ideas."
