 Envisioning a Bright Future

Dear Colleagues,

We are four months away from our annual One IT Summit! This year the summit will take place on Wednesday, June 3 in the MLK Student Union. Our committee is busy solidifying a great program focused around this year’s theme of Envisioning a Bright Future. If you don’t have the summit on your calendar yet, please add the summit to your bCal now and encourage your colleagues to do the same. Registration will open in April.

Get Involved

Beyond attending the summit, you have a few options to engage further:

  • IT Summit 2020 logo (a colorful eye)Submit an exhibit hall proposal - We encourage individuals and teams interested in showcasing their work to submit a proposal by Friday, Feb. 28. Demonstrations, examples of service, hardware, processes, and posters showcasing the work you've done in the past year, or work you are doing for the future are welcome. Many exhibitors share progress they have been making toward ReIT goals or IT priorities outlined in the strategic plan. Perhaps you also plan on submitting a proposal to UCTech (formerly UCCSC), the summit is a great place to share your work locally before the UC-wide event. Your presentations will be shared in our Exhibit Hall located in the East Pauley Ballroom, past participants always mention this is their favorite part of the summit! Need some inspiration? See last year’s presentations for ideas.
  • Promote your IT Staff Org - New for Summit 2020, if you lead or are a member of an IT Staff Org this is your opportunity to promote your group and recruit new members! IT Staff orgs will have a dedicated space for tabling in the Kerr Lobby. Be sure to secure your spot by Friday, Feb. 28.
  • Sign up to volunteer for the summit - All One IT events would not be possible without the support of a dedicated team of volunteers. You can decide to help in advance of the event or day of (you will still be able to participate in the program).

Visit the conference website for more info. Questions about the summit can be directed to any of the One IT Committee members.
