A message from Larry Conrad, AVC-IT & CIO
I continue to be energized by the spirit of cooperation and partnership I see every day at UC Berkeley. One of our great strengths is the large number of smart, creative people we have on our campus. We’d like to build on that strength by providing an opportunity for IT staff to highlight key accomplishments and services they would like to share with the campus community, so we can all learn from one another and leverage each other’s successes.
To further encourage IT colleagues to collaborate on developing solutions to real problems for our faculty, staff, and students, I’m hosting an IT Summit on June 25 as part of the One IT initiative. This event will get IT teams together in one place for the first time in many years and provide an opportunity for them to showcase their achievements.
Open to all UC Berkeley IT staff, the event is a forum for IT staff and teams to network, share their work, and highlight new technology during Tech Expo sessions. Staff will also have the opportunity to hear from and speak with campus IT leadership about goals and actions for 2014 and beyond.
