In January we announced that UC Berkeley will implement a new IT Project Management Policy that goes into effect in 2017, and requested your feedback on the policy. If you have not yet read the IT Project Management Policy for UC Berkeley, please take time to do so and provide feedback no later than April 25.
- Improve the success of IT projects across UC Berkeley in achieving campus strategic goals.
- Increase our capacity to deliver IT projects within budget and on schedule.
- Support and strengthen the ability of campus staff to collaborate effectively on IT projects by sharing a common language and set of practices, thereby reducing project risk.
The Office of the CIO will provide $10,000 per year for three years to help offset project management training expenses related to the implementation of this policy. If you are interested, learn how you can apply for training funds.
Visit our table in the Exhibition Hall at the IT Summit on May 24 to ask questions about the new IT Project Management Policy and learn more about training opportunities before the policy takes effect. You can also contact Jon Conhaim, Manager of the TPO, directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or (510) 643-2244.
