Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT) provides technical and user application training for the Division of Student Affairs. Standard technical training is offered in English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin as a way to support the large non-English speaking workforce in several of the larger departments within the division. Standard technical training includes: CalNet authentication and access, account setup and account creation, basic computer training, email and web usage, and utilization of online services, such as UCOP’s At Your Service for benefits access. Standard application training includes Google Apps for Education and MS Office. Training program supports “Drop in” service, scheduled workshops, on-site training for groups and individuals, and coordination for technical training support for large change efforts and applications implementation. SAIT creates training videos and other web-based training; it also manages and updates a library of printed and web content for technical training. The technical training team is also available for consultation and one-on-one or small group training needs.
