Safe Space: A Monthly Drop-in Session
Thursday, June 25 | 4:00 p.m.
Join me for a 45-minute safe space where we will explore the evolving journey of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within higher education. It is more important than ever to ground ourselves, acknowledge the challenges many of us are feeling, and look ahead with collective purpose. Whether you want to share your unique perspective, ask pressing questions, or simply exist in community with colleagues who care deeply about this work, your voice matters here.

Non-Native English Speakers Support Association (NESSA)
Last Wednesday of every other month at 11 a.m. | Next meeting is July 29
NESSA, which stands for "Non-Native English Speakers Support Association," is our identity-based staff support organization. In this group, we welcome multilingual speakers, native English speakers, and English language learners who are interested in supporting, mentoring, and learning from each other. Zoom link
Our group wanted to share an amazing presentation and resource created by Padma Vemula, Language Beyond Borders
DEIB @ 3 | Asynchronous Ed
This month, for our asynchronous education, we are listening to Nancy, a series featuring character-driven stories and conversations about the diverse, lived experiences of the LGBTQ+ community today.
As we navigate our own period of uncertainty and a shifting workplace, give an episode a listen (I recommend Episode 1: Hello Hello) and reflect on how sharing our unique narratives helps us find common ground and strengthens our campus community.
Give it a listen and feel free to put your thoughts and questions in this shared DEIB @ 3 document.
bIT Weekly Meditation | Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m.
Our amazing colleague, Janhavi Deshpande, will be offering a monthly guided meditation practice! Some of you may remember this practice pre-pandemic, and we thought what a perfect time to bring this practice back to our community. Zoom link for meditation.
