Safe Space: A Monthly Drop-in Session
Thursday, May 21 | 4:00 p.m.
Join me for a 45-minute safe space where we will explore workplace uncertainty. As the landscape of our workplace continues to shift it is more important than ever to acknowledge the uncertainty many of us are feeling. Join us to share your perspective, ask questions, or simply be in community.
Non-Native English Speakers Support Association (NESSA)
Last Wednesday of every other month at 11 a.m.
NESSA, which stands for "Non-Native English Speakers Support Association," is our identity-based staff support organization. In this group, we welcome multilingual speakers, native English speakers, and English language learners who are interested in supporting, mentoring, and learning from each other. Zoom link
Our group wanted to share an amazing presentation and resource created by Padma Vemula, Language Beyond Borders
DEIB @ 3 | Asynchronous Ed
This month, for our asynchronous education, we are listening to Inheriting, a series that explores major historical events, like the 1992 L.A. uprising or the Vietnam War, shape the personal lives of Asian American and Pacific Islander families.
As we navigate our own period of uncertainty and a shifting workplace, give an episode a listen (I recommend Episode 1: Carol & the Los Angeles Uprising) and reflect on how we "inherit" the stress of the world around us.
Give it a listen and feel free to put your thoughts and questions in this shared DEIB @ 3 document.

Our amazing colleague, Janhavi Deshpande, will be offering a monthly guided meditation practice! Some of you may remember this practice pre-pandemic, and we thought what a perfect time to bring this practice back to our community. Zoom link for meditation
