Partial Activation

Here is what to expect when the Berkeley IT DOC is in partial activation mode:

  • Along with the affected service units in DOC Operations with the Service Owner, DOC Planning will actively support DOC Operations and the Service Owner.
  • The DOC Manager (CIO becomes the default DOC Manager unless there is a designee assigned) will activate the DOC and will notify the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
  • AVC-IT/CIO and Berkeley IT Executive Directors discuss updates and developments.
  • Most directions will come from the DOC Manager, informed by DOC Operations.

DOC Activation & Notification

Activated by:

  • DOC Manager / Chief Information Officer - or - appointed delegate.

  • DOC Operations - The Executive Directors of affected services from Berkeley IT units: CITI, ISO, CITE, and CAD.
