Preventing Scams and Phishing in Google Calendar

Beware of phishing via fake Google Calendar invites with urgent titles and malicious links. Be cautious of unexpected invites, even those appearing to come from @berkeley.edu addresses, and avoid clicking links or calling numbers. Report suspicious events as spam before deletion.

New AI tools for students

Beginning Aug. 15, 2025, UC Berkeley students will gain access to the UC‑licensed Google Gemini App, alongside Zoom AI Companion. Both tools offer AI support features but require responsible use under course guidelines. Unauthorized generative AI use may be treated as academic misconduct.
