Updated Digital Accessibility Policy & Requirements

All UC Berkeley digital content must meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards by April 24, 2026. UCOP is revising policy to align with these changes and seeks feedback by Dec. 19, 2025. Staff should review materials for compliance.

New AI tools for students

Beginning Aug. 15, 2025, UC Berkeley students will gain access to the UC‑licensed Google Gemini App, alongside Zoom AI Companion. Both tools offer AI support features but require responsible use under course guidelines. Unauthorized generative AI use may be treated as academic misconduct.
