One IT Colleagues,

Please submit your campus nomination for the UC-wide Womxn in Technology (WIT) Committee’s annual UC Women Rock IT blog article. Consider a submission for a female-identifying colleague or team who made a significant contribution (large or small) at any time from last March to the present. The article will be published in the UC IT Blog this March, during Women’s History Month, and will highlight the contributions of women in tech across the UC system. Please fill out this nomination form to put yourself, a female-identifying colleague, or a female-identifying team member forward for this honor by Friday, Feb. 16. The contributions can highlight work that is tech-oriented (in any field, from ed tech to software development to security and more) or work that reflects the mission and values of UC WIT

In the nomination form, provide a short description (100 words) of the honorees’ achievements or contributions. When writing the description consider answering one or more of the following questions: What makes their achievement amazing? What was the impact of their achievement? How difficult was their challenge? How urgent was the issue they addressed? Did they handle a complex organizational change? Did they create a more inclusive environment? Did they advance the professional goals and aspirations of UC women in technology? Need inspiration? Read past UC Women Rock IT articles

We, your local WIT committee are responsible for submitting a single entry and getting permission from the honoree to be included. A subcommittee of UC WIT will review and edit the final entries for publication in the UC IT Blog. All UC Berkeley nominees will be notified and published in a news article on the Technology website

Many thanks and cheers to all the womxn who rock IT daily!
Sincerely,

Your UC Berkeley Women in Technology Committee Representatives:

  • Rita Rosenthal, Director of Communications, Berkeley IT | Strategy & Partnerships

  • Charron Andrus, Associate Chief Information Security Officer | Information Security Office
