Dear One IT Community,
It’s been a pleasure working with you all over the past two years on developing our student employment and leadership development opportunities. Together we’ve fostered greater engagement with our IT student workforce, facilitated supportive pathways into IT, increased the visibility and recognition of our student teams, and created more support structures for supervisors of students.
In our final report, you will find:
-
Summary of the program’s impact.
-
Resources for supervisors of students (current and prospective) to get continued support.
-
Recommendations for future directions with IT student employment and leadership.
-
Team feature on the power of mentorship, featuring supervisor Patricia Juárez and student staff Kimberley Pascual with bIT’s Productivity & Collaboration Servces.
-
Recognition to all staff involved in supporting the program.
We want to thank everyone involved in launching and maintaining this program. From its early days of inception, to supporting the various initiatives, including the job fairs, student events, the community of practice, Achieve Scholars and more - thank you for playing a role in uplifting our student teams and supervisors. Our work has had a profound impact not only in Berkeley’s IT community, but also across the UC Berkeley campus and beyond.
