August 8, 2022

Hello One IT Community,

UC Tech 2022 starts one week from today. As you finalize your plans, take note of important information and top tips.

When you arrive for the opening reception next Monday night, please go first to our registration/ check-in desk to get your name badge, wristbands and other materials. Follow signs that will be out. Check-in is located at the far west end of the south side of Price Center - right next to the bookstore. Review diagram at the bottom of this link:

Covid Considerations

UC Tech will be conducted following prevailing UC San Diego guidelines. All attendees will be provided one KN95 mask and one rapid test kit for optional use. UC San Diego personnel should complete the daily symptom screener each day before coming to campus. Other attendees, please use your organization’s equivalent, or conduct a brief self-assessment.

In general, if you’re not feeling good or are experiencing symptoms, please stay in your room. All sessions will be livestreamed. Learn more about our policies:

Personal Schedule & Session Access

Last week we made some configuration changes to our registration and event platform. This may affect sessions you previously signed up for (especially virtual-only ones). Henceforth, just ignore the session signups. On-campus sessions will be open on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, we can’t guarantee that a personalized schedule you previously made online will still be visible. If you have favorite sessions you’re excited to attend, please make your list offline and bring it with you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Campus Field Trips - Sign-ups Remain Open

We have interactive and informative Campus Field Trips planned for Wednesday afternoon. Check out the details below and follow the instructions to sign up:

Making the Most of a Hybrid Conference

Remember that UC Tech is a hybrid conference. About half the workshops are virtual only. If you'd like to attend those, remember to bring a device and headphones. Learn more about the virtual platform:
