We provide colocation services in the campus Data Center, providing customers a secure location and network connectivity for housing mission-critical servers. The campus Data Center is a hardened facility that provides a precision environment for the housing of mission-critical servers and related equipment. The facility is connected to the campus backbone network via two separate 100-Gigabit trunks for high availability. Customers are provided rack space in lockable cabinets with dual power connections, backup UPS, remote management access for servers, hardware installation assistance, and staffed Data Center Operations Desk.
For data center access outside of regular support hours: 1) make special arrangements ahead of time (please give at least one week's notice), or, 2) apply for card key access, which would give you 24 X 7 entrance into our facility. Please keep in mind that a successful UCPD background check will be required with the second option. For either method, or to request service, please send an email to dc-ticket@berkeley.edu.
