If you are in need of technical equipment in order to learn, teach, or work during the fall semester, please find resources below. Remember to use your CalNet ID to login and access these campus-wide services. Faculty and staff looking for ergonomic equipment can talk to supervisors and building managers for access to buildings to retrieve equipment approved to take home or view a list of pre-approved products to order for home office use following these purchasing instructions.

The Student Tech Equity Program (STEP) is available to students who do not have access to the tech resources they need. Apply to be considered for a new computer.

Chat

The recently improved Google Chat is a secure communications tool built for teams. It offers private direct messaging and team chat rooms, is fully integrated into bMail, has desktop and mobile apps, and is approved for FERPA data.

Software

Browse our catalog for access to centrally provided software like Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft products, anti-virus protection and more. Also check with your department as they may offer additional software to their students, faculty, and staff.

Training

Instructors can utilize the Remote Teaching Guide to prepare for their classes or attend one of several workshops to support online teaching.
