One IT Developing Professionally, Personally

This session will focus on developing professional skills that are portable across jobs and duties. We will have two interactive activities to discuss and work through these opportunities.

  • One IT Mastermind Group
    Presenter: Shirley Giraldo
A mastermind group is a peer-to-peer coaching model used to help members solve their problems with input and advice from other group members. By participating in this One IT Mastermind Group participants will receive relevant strategies that work at UC Berkeley for the most common challenges they encounter.
  • Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI)
    Presenter: Aaron Culich

Developed at Google and based on the latest in neuroscience research, the Search Inside Yourself (SIY) program teaches attention and mindfulness training that build the core emotional intelligence skills needed for effective leadership. We help professionals at all levels adapt, management teams evolve and leaders optimize their impact and influence.

The Present and Future of Diversity and Inclusion for One IT

Presenters: The IST Action Team and ReIT Diversity and Inclusion Work Group

At this presentation we will review the work that came out of the ReIT Diversity and Inclusion workshops, take a look at diversity data for UC Berkeley staff and practice our skills at being allies and creating an inclusive environment.

Join colleagues in the Exhibit Hall to view highlights of
IT staff and team work, new technology being implemented and more!

Disability Awareness Training

Presenter: Lucy Greco

To address the One IT goal of creating a diverse and inclusive community, Lucy Greco will facilitate a session to build awareness of the challenges people with disabilities face, including some of the biggest barriers to including people with disabilities in our community. During this interactive session, participants will uncover the truths and misperceptions about people with disabilities, and walk away with concrete steps to creating a more inclusive community at UC Berkeley.
