In order to best support instruction and the daily work of our campus community, Berkeley IT is assessing Adobe software usage. Starting today, Aug. 1, 2022, anyone who uses Adobe software will need to request a new license, valid for one year. On Aug. 14, 2022, access will end for all previous licenses.
UC Tech 2022 is right around the corner! Registration for the in-person conference at UC San Diego is sold-out, but registration for the virtual conference is still open! Register now!

Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s One IT Celebration Picnic. Over 200 staff members and retirees came out to celebrate, and I can’t begin to describe how amazing it felt to see everyone in-person after spending so much time apart these past few years! This picnic was a big “thank you” for everyone’s hard work and dedication as we’ve stayed flexible and agile to support campus through the pandemic.

On Aug. 14, 2022, the access period will end for all licenses that were generated before Aug. 1, 2022. In order to best support instruction and the daily work of our campus community, Berkeley IT is assessing Adobe software usage to better understand the demand for Adobe Creative Cloud.

Beginning July 13, 2022, all @berkeley.edu Zoom accounts must be managed by UC Berkeley and will be required to use CalNet authentication.
We are pleased to present our FY23 One IT Strategic Plan! This year’s plan features multiple IT units contributing to our top 10 Priority Initiatives.
What started as a casual discussion among women IT leaders over lunch has turned into a committee that spans University of California campuses.
Registration for UC Tech 2022, hosted by UC San Diego August 15-17, is now open. You can register for either the on-campus or virtual versions.

About UC Tech
Teams will present a usability review of software projects at their campuses. We will also learn about quick tools for accessibility assessment, and take a look at UCLA’s Usability Workshop.
This is a great way to learn more about UX and meet others in the UC UX community.

We invite you to review the FY23 One IT Strategic Plan and share your feedback with us. The public comment period for the FY23 One IT Strategic Plan is open from May 25 to June 8. Please submit your comments by the end of business on June 8 via this Google form.
On June 21st, 2022, the bConnected on-premises SMTP service (bCOP) will be transitioning from contracted management to management by UC Berkeley. We do not anticipate any interruption of service, but want to make you aware of the change. The IP address will be changing, but the DNS will remain the same. Please make sure your customers are connecting to bCOP via DNS rather than IP address.
As a reminder, the use of bCOP must meet one of the following minimum requirements:
