Berkeley Desktop

Berkeley Desktop provides a reliable, secure, and integrated computing environment that reduces the amount of time faculty and staff spend maintaining their UC Berkeley-owned computers. Berkeley Desktop will configure a desktop or laptop computer with its operating system and standard software. A Berkeley Desktop configured computer provides a standard environment combined with automated maintenance which means you: See fewer problems; Have more security to defend against cyber attacks; Are able to get help faster; and, Experience less down time.

Remote Support Tools

The ability to offer remote technical support to campus customers is a critical component of any help desk team. Having tech teams be able to see and control devices of their customers remotely is at the core of being able to troubleshoot and ultimately help rectify technical issues as they arise. The Student Helpdesk supports students by ensuring they have reliable network access and knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive technical support.
